Islanders v Devils ~ 4/11/14

Here are some notes as the New York Islanders (32-37-11) are in Newark, NJ to take on the New Jersey Devils (34-29-17) in NHL action on Friday night.

Evgeni Nabokov earned the Islanders’ first-ever shutout in Montreal, as the Isles blanked the Canadiens 2-0 Thursday night at Bell Centre. Nabokov made 19 saves and added an assist, while Ryan Strome and Brock Nelson scored a pair of power-play goals late in the second period to propel the Islanders to the win.
TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Islanders continue their season-ending three game road trip tonight in New Jersey. It’s the fifth-and-final game of the season series; the Isles are 2-2-0 against the Devils this season.
