he New York Islanders announced on Thursday the acquisition of the Chicago Blackhawks’ fourth round selection in the 2014 National Hockey League Draft, in exchange for forwards Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Peter Regin.

Bouchard, 29, scored nine points (four goals, five assists) in 28 games with the Islanders this season. The Sherbrooke, QC, native added 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 20 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League since he was loaned on December 10, 2013.

Regin, 27, scored seven points (two goals, five assists) in 44 games this season with the Islanders. The Herning, DK, native has 62 points (21 goals, 41 assists) in 222 career NHL games with the Ottawa Senators and Islanders.
